Director General
The administration of the Federation of Norwegian Industries is led by its Director General, Stein Lier-Hansen. He describes his role as leader of the Federation of Norwegian Industries like this: “To ensure that society understands how important a viable industry is for Norway to be able to secure jobs and welfare for the future. We must all agree on a sustainable industrial policy in Norway.”

Stein Lier-Hansen was State Secretary at the Ministry of the Environment in the Stoltenberg government from March 2000 to October 2001. Before that, he was Director General of the Directorate for Nature Management from 1995 and Deputy Director General from 1993 to 1995.

Hilde M. Aasheim, Executive Vice President of Norsk Hydro ASA, is deputy chair.
